The Big Crossrail Project

With the Elizabeth line coming into effect at the end of this year, Farringdon East Crossrail Station will be the central point of the network. With 140 trains passing through every hour, it will welcome 155,000 passengers through its doors on a daily basis.

Helical PLC has agreed with Transport for London to deliver an over station development at this very station, and we here at Pilcher Hershman are delighted to have jointly acquired this incredible project with JLL.

With a 150 year lease, this six storey office building will also include new shops and restaurants, and will be designed by the award winning PLP architecture. Tenants will enjoy a vast roof terrace with stunning views of the city in this 120m development.

The Area

On the outskirts of the City, close to Old Street and Holborn, Farringdon is jam packed full of 9-5ers. Boasting the jewellery trade hub of Hatton Garden, it’s very close to Smithfield, and is now close to the only station from which passengers will be able to access all three rail networks – Crossrail, Thameslink and the London Underground.

Farringdon is a perfect place to have an office. Showcasing fantastic lunch options with many cafes and eateries, a Pret a Manger on every corner, and the famous Leather Lane. Pubs are also in abundance, including the Gunmakers for hearty, wholesome food, or the Foxlow for a drink after work with the team.

Work will commence this summer on this stunning statement building, and we will keep you up to date!
